Talk to 12: Jena 6, Sex Offenders and Bob's Jacket!

In today's Talk to 12... we've been getting lots of e-mails about the Jena 6 coverage.

"Would someone be so kind as to report the ENTIRE story. Frankly, I am a little upset that the story only became news when support was being established for the young men... and now that the story is being told, it is still one-sided. The only fact that is mentioned is that 6 black students beat up a white student."

Stan... sees it exactly the opposite way.

"Why do you think the six people shouldn't be held responsible for beating a white person because other people did something. I've been watching news 12 for the last 10 years and I see every day that you are a racist program. You belong with Dan Rather you hypocrites."

Thanks Stan. I guess since both sides are equally upset, we must be doing something... right.

Lori writes about our segment "IN PLAIN SIGHT":

"My family and I really appreciate the information regarding where sex offenders are living now. We liked it much better though when you only listed names and addresses as we do not wish to see pictures of sex offenders plastered all over the television screen."

Interesting point Lori. Should we keep showing you these pictures? We'd like to hear from more of you about that one.

"Bob is a jewel and we are so very lucky to have him. He is the best meteorologist around, yet some ignorant people love to pick on him, through the Rant & Raves in the Chronicle. He, Tom and Meredith handled the situation great today about his jacket. Go Bob!!!"

Ya know, here it is. Sometimes Bob's gonna do the weather in his shirt-sleeves. Deal with it.
