Talk to 12- Crime Pays & Border Bash
So... as it turns out crime does pay.
We saw it for ourselves this week in Augusta when U.S. Attorney Eddy Booth turned over a check for a half million dollars to Richmond County Sheriff Ronnie Strength. Since the sheriff's department conducted the investigation into what turned out to be a federal tax case... they get a cut.
Terry writes: "This is the fastest any of my prayers has ever been answered. I was praying about funding for law enforcement this morning. Can we now find monies to pay the deputies, who put their lives on the line in this county everyday, living wages?"
Thanks for that Terry... and could you add race relations in Augusta to your prayer list? Considering what we've been through with the Dave Barbee memo about moving whites in and blacks out of the downtown area---it's been a rough week.
And since this is Border Bash weekend... Walter in Oconee County, which is not all that far from Sanford Stadium by the way, wants us to be aware that beloved University of Georgia mascot "UGA" is missing.
He passes along a very doctored photo of Michael Vick- in full uniform, walking the famous Dawg. He says it's a photo of the place "UGA" was last seen. Somebody better check the Georgia Dome.
Questions? comments? Even an occasional lost Dawg?
The address is talk to 12 at wrdw.com.
